That\u2019s exactly how ancient wall inscriptions have been treated.
They saw the symbols and assumed sorcery.
They saw the forms and imagined stories.
But no one asked the most basic question:
Who wrote this? And why write it like that?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I don\u2019t just mean today\u2019s assumptions.
I mean the ones made two thousand years ago –
by those who inscribed the Rosetta Stone,
which we ironically now use to decipher the very language they misunderstood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The real shock?
This digital string has a direct counterpart carved in stone.

Why did the builders of the greatest monuments in human history –
pyramids, temples, obelisks – leave behind all these precise, cryptic symbols?
Why not write their history in clear words?
Were they truly incapable of inventing a language that could say what they meant –
something more articulate than \u201cjumping over rabbits\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Were they really children who didn\u2019t know how to speak,
as modern translations would have us believe?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you think that\u2019s the case,
then perhaps you should first ask the pyramids,
and the mummies,
and the stones that built the impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You\u2019ll find that these people weren\u2019t simple.
Maybe\u2026 we are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When these \u201csorcerous\u201d symbols were read by those who fancied themselves translators,
they gave us explanations that sound like a child learning to speak:
scattered words, irrational actions,
sentences that resemble nothing but themselves –
